Sometimes all you need are a few good friends!

Washington D.C. Chapter Continentals

The Washington, D.C. Chapter (Chapter) of the Continentals, Inc. was chartered in 1953 for the purpose of providing volunteer.  Continental Societies, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt international public service organization, incorporated in 1956. As a Society, and through its established Five-Point Point Programatic Thrust (Health, Education, Employment, Recreation and its initiatives), Continental women commit to addressing the humanitarian precept of serving and promoting children in need. The DC Chapter has worked to advance the welfare of underserved children and youth in the District of Columbia.

Our Chapter scholarship program provides mentoring to its recipients. Over the years, the Chapter has presented in excess of $500,000 in scholarship awards to more than 250 deserving District of Columbia students. Chapter members and Continental Guys serve as mentors for our scholars. Our immediate goal is to increase the scholarship coffer and by extension, the number of scholarships awarded.

Our Chapter shepherds programs that teach children to respect themselves and others, to make winning lifestyle decisions, to resolve conflicts, to enhance confidence, to be trustworthy, to set realistic/challenging goals, to value diversity and to demonstrate good citizenship.

The Washington, DC Chapter seeks to lead by example as members of our service oriented organization of devoted women working together with our community partners. We are proud to be counted as one of the 46 Continental Chapters aross the continental United States, in the District of Columbia and in Bermuda.
